BassWorks To Host Lethbridge’s First Electronic Music Festival

Lethbridge based DJ crew and party production company; BassWorks Entertainment will be hosting the first Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival on August 18 at Galt Gardens Park, located in downtown Lethbridge.

LEMF is designed to showcase local Lethbridge and regional EDM artists, in a family friendly environment celebrating the electronic dance music culture and promoting downtown Lethbridge.

Electronic Dance Music has been growing in popularity across the globe over the past 20 years, with an explosion in North America over the past 5 years. The recent Electronic Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas hosted over 350,000 EDM fans over 3 days.

Jose Streeter, founder of BassWorks, is pleased with the reception Lethbridge has given his group, "Lethbridge has a growing EDM culture, and LEMF will provide an opportunity for the entire community to see some of the fine talent Lethbridge has to offer, plus headlining guest DJs from around Alberta and BC."

LEMF 2012 is a free, all ages event from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with two stages, 24 DJs, beer gardens, food and merchandise vendors, object manipulators, and a kid zone with face painting and air jumps.

Steve Baines, co-chair of the LEMF planning committee says the goal of the event is "to create an experience where people can let go and celebrate life with each other and as individuals. Our aim is to bring joy, have fun, and share our love of Electronic Dance Music with everyone."
