Still Enjoying this Internship
By Kayla Nash, Lethbridge living Intern
Another two weeks have gone by at Lethbridge living and I'm still enjoying myself.
I've had a bit of a break from database entry and been doing a lot of editing stories for the upcoming January/February issue.
I feel as though my story assignment went really well. It was a bit difficult to write at first. Because I am so used to news writing at school, writing for a magazine was a change.
I also no longer sit alone in my large boardroom as fellow classmate, Paige, has joined me. (Be sure to check out her blog!)

Jenn gave us a fun assignment to do together last week when we were in. We were to go over Alberta Magazine criteria and decide whether or not certain magazines fall into acceptance of the Alberta Magazine publishing rules.
We were given three magazines to look at and it was a great learning experience to find out what qualifies as acceptable. We looked at ads and their placement, editorial content, and a few other things. It was a fun activity, thanks, Jenn!
Paige and I got into the Christmas spirit as Jenn and Tim got us to wrap a present for the Lethbridge living Christmas party. It was quite the adventure. Paige and I got creative as we figured out how to wrap its awkward shape.
This will be my last blog for a little while as I will be going home to Saskatchewan for the holidays! I'm very excited to go home and spend time with my family.
Happy holidays everyone!
