As the final grains of sand trickle down in the hourglass of my third week at Lethbridge living, one word continues to be at the forefront of my mind–work.

In my early days of post-secondary education I would succumb to the wonder and awe of procrastination on a regular basis, but in the last two years at the college I’ve made it my goal to work hard and complete assignments as soon as they’re assigned. That was my goal, and though there have been some ups and downs in this goal, for the most part I can say that I’ve achieved what I wanted to.

The reason I’m choosing to be a journalist is because I love to talk and interact with people. Everybody has a story to tell, and I want to be the one they can talk to, so through me, they can tell their story to the world.

So why am I so nervous all of a sudden?!
